Hotel general informationWhat is check in/check out time?A. Check in is at 1 PM and check out is at 12 noon.

Q. Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?A. No, the Las Gardenias is a smoke-free establishment.

Q. Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless Internet access available?

A. Our rural settings does not allow the high-speed internet. Limited wi-fi usage, only for low consumption data applications, ex. Whatsapp, facebook, browser. Not torrent, youtube, online calls, or streaming allowed. Thank you for your comprehension, we are trying to get a better service.

Q. Do you have a pool?

A. No, we do not have a pool at the hotel.

Q. Do you admit visits in the room?

A. No, we do not. We offer public areas to do that.

Q. Can I stay longer in the room (late check-out)?

A. Yes, you can. After the check-out time you will be charged Q.25.00 per extra hour.

Q. Can I change money in the hotel?

Yes, you can. US dollars, Belizean dollars, Mexican pesos, Euros.

Q. Is there laundry service?

Unfortunately there is no laundry service on-site, but there are three points near our hotel.

Q. Is there an ATM in your location?

Yes, there is one at 5 blocks from our hotel, but to be honest if  you take the opportunity to withdraw money from a main city it is preferable, because for some reasons the ATM in our locations works remotely so that, it can work or it can’t.Q. Do you have onsite parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?A. Yes, we offer free parking. Included in the room rate. (over 4 cars)Q. I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

A. You must go through the booking agent/website that you went through in order to change your reservation.

Q. Is my ID/passport required at check in?

A. We do require presentation of a valid government-issued identification at the time of check-in.

Q. Do you have an early departure fee?

A. Yes, an early departure fee in an amount of up to one night’s room and taxes may apply.

Q. Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?

A. We do not provide free shuttle service from the airport, however we do have car service for a fee ($27.00 total fare from 1-4 pers.)

Q. Do you offer private transportation/taxi from the airport?

Yes, we do. ($27.00 total fare from 1-4 pers.)

Q. What time is the first and last public bus?

From Santa Elena to El Remate: Starts at 6:30 a.m. and finishes at 7: 00 pm. You have to take it from either the new bus station or the old bus station. Both are in different locations. If you are not quite sure how to get there by your own, we recommend to take a tuc-tuc (widely used in Santa Elena) from Flores (the Island) or any point in Santa Elena and tell the driver that you are looking for the bus station.

Q. How can I get to Flores from Lake Atitlán?

There are several travel agencies that sell the bus ticket from Panajachel, at Calle Santander. They usually sell a transportation package: Shuttle from Panajachel/Guatemala City/ Flores, Petén for $65.00 per person the departure time at 6:00 a.m. from Panajachel to take the Linea Dorada bus at 11:00 a.m. in Guate City, the arrival in Flores is by 7 p.m. or the overnight bus, so you should take the shuttle from Panajachel at 4 p.m. to get at Guatemala City at 9:00 p.m. and then arrives in Flores at 7 a.m.

If you take the overnight bus to Flores you will arrive by 7 a.m. so you could take the local bus from Flores to our place in El Remate road to Tikal in the same bus station, you only have to ask for the buses to “El Remate” our hotel name is “Las Gardenias” it is located on main road to Tikal (20 minutes before Tikal National Park) If you take the bus during the day and arrives at Flores in the evening we can send a taxi for you for $27.00 US total.

Q. How can I get to Flores from Antigua Guatemala?

We recommend to buy a shuttle ticket at Atitrans travel agency. Telephone number 7832 3371, address in Antigua 6a Avenida Sur 7, Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala.

Q. Can you book transportation/shuttles for me?

Of course we can do. We have booked to our guest’s bus tickets/shuttles/ flight tickets so you do not need to go to Santa Elena, or even pay for your tickets until you get it. We usually add an administration cost. If you agree with this term, we gladly can do it for you.Q. Can I arrange tours/transportation thought the hotel?We can help you to arrange transport and tours
